Question by msujohnson0351: What would happen if you took Hydroxycut and Tylenol PM at the exact same time?
When I take Hydroxycut I get a ton of energy, but when I take Tylenol PM it makes me fall asleep.
What would happen? Would you get energy, get tired, or would they neutralize each other?

I’ve never tried this particular mix, and I’m not even sure what the stimulating agent in Hydroxycut is. (There are several formulations of Hydroxcut products still in circulation.)
If my experience with other stimulant/depressant mixes is any indication: I would expect to feel pretty good at first. Mellowed, but not necessarily sleepy. Then you have to think about which generally clears your system faster. That effect is going to wear off first, probably leaving you with a hard shift the other direction. In your example, I expect the energy burst to wear off first and you getting really tired. I don’t have experience with Hydroxycut, but Tylenol PM leaves me feeling foggy for 8-12 hours.
It is worth mentioning at this juncture that some of the Hydroxycut products have been recalled for causing liver (and other life-threatening) damage. You should not ingest these, period. Additionally, while the substances you’re discussing are legal and generally safe, this kind of chemical shenanigans are not particularly good for your body. Mixing over-the-counter pharmaceuticals is not risk-free. I’m not going to say “oh my god, you’re going to die” but there are real dangers here that probably outweigh the potential benefits of this experiment.
