Elliptical.
lt puts less weight on your joints and it also works out your arms as well! But both of them are good for weightloss as they are cardiovascular.

You can alternate if you have both. If you had to choose one I would say treadmill. But that’s just my opinion.
What I do suggest you do is interval training everyday or every other day for 20 min. at a time. You can do this twice a day too like morning andf afternoon so you can be burning calories/fat throughout the whole day. Although once a day is more than enough.
I’ll give you an example on the treadmill.
You start out by walking at a fast pace for 1 1/2 min. then you sprint run for 30 seconds. Go back to walking fast for another 1 1/2 min. and again sprint run for 30 seconds. Do that for a total of 20 min. Make sure you stretch before and after to avoid strains/injuries.
Here’s an article on it.

Both the treadmill and elliptical are beneficial for weight loss. As a matter of fact, it has been proven in studies that using elliptical machines offer virtually the same benefits as running. However, ellipticals have the added benefit of being much less stressful on the joints. For this reason, I would have to recommend the elliptical machine, especially if you have a lot of weight to lose.
