My mom has got some sleeping pills. They help me sleep at night. She doesnt know ive taken some. What would happen if i took like 4 then went on with my day? Would i feel drunk or anything? I know it could potentially kill me, but if i only take a few, could i have any good feelings?

It’s an antihistamine. It will not give you any “effects” other than make you fall asleep. You will be really tired. Not drunk feeling. It also is used for allergies and runny noses. That’s all. But it was one of the medications that killed Heath Ledger. He was having trouble sleeping so he took prescription sleeping pills, and he took Benadryl. (Benadryl is basically the same stuff as what is in OTC Sleep aid) and he drank alcohol. Each drug on its own in the particular doses, wouldn’t have been lethal by themself, but the combination caused his heart and breathing to slow down so much that they just stopped and he died. You should not be so dependent on sleep aids when you are young. There are many natural ways to help you sleep that should work just as good and are far less dangerous. The more you use them, the harder it will be for you to go to bed without it, and pretty soon you will have insomnia or be addicted to the sleeping aid. Although OTC antihistamine is safer than prescription narcotic sleep aids, none of them are “safe” and it is still not good for you. Adults generally have a harder time sleeping than teenagers and need less sleep. It is scientifically proven.
*** And don’t take 4 pills! Although you supposedly “know” you could die, I don’t think you realize that it actually could kill you! 4 pills would put you asleep for days! And you could have complications or heart and breathing problems. Or even die! Very, very, very unwise. Please don’t abuse OTC drugs. Just because they are OTC, doesn’t mean they are safe. Especially if you abuse them.

It depends on what drug it is. The most common sleep aid’s pharmacopia name is: Diphenhydramine hcl. and it’s normal dose per tablet is 25mg. This is the exact same drug and dose as “benedryl” other over the counter drugs go by other names, and there’s a variety of prescription sleep aids. NONE of them will give you a euphoria high though.
The most common effects you’ll get is a drowsy dopey “disconnected” feeling similar to when you’ve got a head cold. Some prescription meds will make you feel slightly dizzy too. The more you take, the more drowsy “hungover” you’ll feel in the morning. And too much WILL kill you. They all depress the CNS and respiratory system.
Sleeping pills as a high is barkin up the wrong tree pardner. As a party drug, it’s most likely to result in a sleepover.
I take about 8-12 over the counter sleeping pills a night ( i do not recommend it)I will not sleep if I dont and even then sometimes I dont sleep..well anyway they do make me a little buzz feeling before I can not stay awake any longer. I have a hard time walking straight and I get loopy. The same thing happens if i take more then 2 prescription pills.
