Question by rainbowbright: What can I do that might help me to go to sleep besides sleeping pills?? Please read.?
It is 1:40 a.m. where I live, and I just can not sleep. I am really stressed out and worried about a situation going on at work, and I know that is what is keeping me awake. I have to get up at 6:00 a.m., so I am desperate for sleep right now. Besides sleeping pills, is there something I could try that might help me fall asleep??? Serious answers only, and thanks!!

Try reading a boring book. Quantum physics or some such.

Try to listen to some calm music and make sure it is pretty quiet. You could also focus your thinking on something that makes you happy and just think about it till you fall asleep. Something that makes you happy but is simple and probably boring. Read a book. I often times find that reading for an ammount of time is a great way to get to sleep. When your mind and body go into the mode that it does while you read you get tired.

some of the things i do are: read a book in bed or take a hot bath.
Lavender apparently makes you sleepy….
Try a glass of warm milk with 2 tsp of sugar. If you are lactose intolerant or cant have any sugar try counting backwards from 100 with every exhalation.

Ah well Can’t sleep?It is not such a big problem just try the following:
1)you could have a glass of hot milk.
2)or maybe read some book.
3)relax your body and wish goodnight to each part of your body and you would slowly feel sleepy.
4)you could also try reverse counting it really helps
5)of course changing the place of sleeping also helps a great deal.

You can take a relaxing bath or if you have a bf/husband that lives with you a soft massage. Try to let your mind drift away from that subject if you can. Try also a glass of warm milk.

At about 30 minutes before you intend on going to sleep, take 1-2 teaspoonsful of this concoction.

I feel your pain. It’s now been 8months since I had a 6hour night’s sleep.
I’m at work now and feel like death. My gf whants me to see a psyche. see says i’m burning out.
Anyway, I recommend seeing a psychol. and explain it to him or her.
But you should really considder sleeping pills, ask for something strong, but not addictive!
Do some stretches or yoga.
BEFORE SLEEP CAN GO FOR 30 MINUTES JOGGING THEN TAKE A SHOWER THEN DRINK MANGO JUICE AT LEAST TWO GLASSES..
Keep your mind occupied in something else for some time, such as listening to music and closing your eyes, that might have a hypnotism effect and you might goto sleep,
Or you can try watching a movie, that can help
