Question by Ryan L: What makes you grow with regards bodybuilding – IGF1 or HGH?
Hi,

I have recently heard that HGH releases IGF1 which makes you grow. So does this mean that HGH does not make you grow directly, it just releases a hormone that does? Would it make sense to take a homeopathic IGF1 supplement over an HGH one? Would taking both together have some additional benefit? And what the heck is mechano growth factor?

Thanks for shedding some light,

Regards,

Ryan

bodybuilders mostly take steroids. that is the best way if you dont mind taking something dangerous and illegal. anyone considering hgh might as well just do steroids. do a lot of research first on cycles and dosages though.

What do you think? Answer below!

HGH is released from the pituitary gland, circulated in the bloodstream for a bit, then taken up by the live and converted into IGF-1. HGH can make you grow directly by other certain processes (you would have never grown at all if u lacked HGH). In the liver it is converted into many different kinds of growth factors like IGF-1. HGH, testosterone, IGF-1, etc are all anabolic steroids. Studies show that IGF-1 can be more useful for gaining muscle mass and some other anti-aging properties because it bypasses the pituitary gland. I would go against taking both at the same time because you levels of IGF-1 might raise way too high and it very dangerous. My suggestion to you would be not to take any kind of anabolic steroids. They can be extremely dangerous in high doses. And lets face it, anybody who taken steroids does not take them in small doses because it will not do anything. Studies show that most people take more than 100-1000 times the recommended doses. This is very dangerous and taking in small doses of lets say 10-20mg would not do anything. I am sure you will take one of these so my only suggestion is be very cautious when taking HGH or IGF-1, esp IGF-1. It is very similar to insulin which transports glucose into the cells and taking this with very little glucose in the blood can cause severe hypoglycemia. This is a common cause of death in using any insulin anabolics. So be careful with this and never take it without food and always have food available when taking it. Finally, mechano growth factor (MGF) is an isoform of IGF-1 which is produced locally in the muscle as part of the anabolic repair response to resistance training. People take this just like they take IGF-1 over HGH. Since it will be produced naturally in the muscles after lifting to help build up muscles (repair response), people take it to bypass the pituitary.
