I heard drinking warm milk helps. Personally, after I take a really hot shower my entire body relaxes and I can fall asleep right away.

I would say smoke weed, but if you’re not used to it, you might wake up feeling groggy at first.
I would say read, reading helps me go to sleep really fast.
You could also drink some Tylenol P.M, but only until your sleeping schedule is back.

The best thing that helps me to sleep is doing yoga then a session of relaxation/meditation. It calms the body and the mind so you can drift off easily and sleep deeply.

Your body will adjust better if you have a regular bedtime routine that you follow each day. I would suggest starting your new routine before you have to actually get up and go to work so your body is used to it before you start your new job. Don’t want to be sleepy on your first day right?

Good luck, hope you try the yoga it works wonders for me.

Aromatherapy works well for me. A lavender candle or oil in the bedroom helps promote a calming mood for sleep. There are pillow mists that are lavender scented that you spray on your pillow case and that can help you fall asleep and stay asleep.

Drinking hot tea before going to bed can help as well. There are herbal blends of “sleepy time” tea that you can buy. If you want all natural, then chamomile is your best bet of hot tea. Sweeten it with honey, not sugar.

Combine a hot shower/bath with the cup of hot tea and that should put you in a relaxed state. I also agree with reading or perhaps watching TV but make sure that it’s something you won’t become interested in and stay up to finish.

best of luck!

Medical science recognizes the strong association between health and quality sleep. Unfortunately, doctors often prescribe antihistamines (e.g. Nytol, Benadryl) benzodiazepine drugs (e.g. Valium, Lorazapam, Alprazolam, etc) to remedy insomnia.

While these drugs may be effective short-term, they can cause serious long-term problems, including addiction and disturbance of normal sleep patterns. Using drugs to fall asleep often means the body’s sleep cycle is disturbed and the ability to naturally fall asleep is lost.

An all natural sleep aid results in a long-term solution and does not damage health or lead to addiction.
