Take 1 – 2 benedryl pills (25 mg each) at bedtime.
don’t kill yourself with pills, try swimming a lot in the evening, this should put you to sleep. However, you should consult a doctor who is an expert in sleeping problems instead of trying to address the problem yourself. You need to find out the root of the problem to be successful
Kava Kava, Valerian Root, melatonin, benedryl. Cutting out caffeine and alcohol helps too.
I have tried non prescription sleeping aids and most of them did not work for me. I decided to go see a doctor and he gave me a prescription for an aid that has really helped and eventually I was sleeping at normal hours again. My advice to you would be to go see a doctor and he will give you the right prescription for your kind of sleeping problems.
TYLENOL simply sleep
I was taking over the counter sleep aids for awhile, but they all made me feel groggy in the morning. I found out a friend of mine was taking melatonin to help him sleep so I tried it. It works great! Take it about an hour before you intend to fall asleep and it will help with-out making you feel groggy at all. I take 3mg tablets which you should be able to find at any pharmacy in the vitamin and supplement section. I paid $ 10 Canadian for 100 tablets. Try it, it shouldn’t do any harm. Any concerns you have or questions you would like answered would be provided by any good pharmacist.
good sleep hygiene is always the best non-medicinal way of curing sleeping troubles.
set up a sleep routine(wash face, brush teeth, take a bath, etc.), going to bed at the same time every day, not using your bed for anything other than sleep and sex, don’t drink caffeine in the afternoon and evening, don’t do vigorous exercise in the late afternoon or evening, and avoid distractions in bed such as a tv, radio, lights on, etc.
you can also try taking melatonin, which is an OTC herb that helps the body sleep.
maybe people take benadryl to help them sleep, and this is another OTC med.
