Question by manuel e: How much sleeping pills does it take to kill? How much is considered an overdose?
A close friend of mine took 12 sleeping pills…haven’t talked to him since, Not even from his girlfriend or from his parents. Is he dead? Please answer.

an overdose is more than the bottle says. and it depends on wat you take it with

call 911 and let the police locate and check on him; his loved ones do not need to be the ones to find him if the worst has happened
It’s considered an overdose once you have taken more than it says you should on the bottle. But how many pills it takes to kill someone depends on the strength of the pill itself and on how big the person is. Ex: someone who weighs 90 pounds would have to take less than a person who weighs 250 pounds.
As far as your friend goes thou, I agree that you need to contact the police and they can get into his house and find out if he is alive. The worse thing you could do is nothing, you would always wonder what if…..

It really depends on what was in the pills and how much was in them – but twelve sounds like alot.
