it’s the same thing, and hundreds of people have died from taking ephedra based products. The FDA had pulled it off the market a few years ago, but now it’s back. I took the old xenadrine with ephedra back in 2001, and it felt more like a line of coke, rather then a dietary supplement.

EPHEDRINE (EPH) is a sympathomimetic amine similar in structure to the synthetic derivatives amphetamine and methamphetamine. Ephedrine is commonly used as a stimulant, appetite suppressant, concentration aid, decongestant and to treat hypotension associated with regional anaesthesia.

EPHEDRA – is a chinese herb known as ma huang.

100s of people were not killed from using EPHEDRA. If you will look at the back of any sinus or allergy medication you will see it in the ingredients. Only 3 people were ever even considered to have died who used an Ephedra based product. And most of them could not be directly related to Ephedra as the cause of death.
