Question by Augusta S: is there a way to get insurance to pay for HGH injections to make my son taller?
my son just turned 19 and is about 5 foot 7 and wants to grow taller his younger brother and father both tall brother being close to 6 foot and father being 6 foot 2. is there any way to have insurance cover the price of human growth hormones injections? or are there and hgh supplements that will actually work?

No, they don’t pay for vanity.

A better question are his growth plates sealed. If they are it’s a moot point.

No, they won’t pay for it, and I can’t imagine where you’d get HGH for this, anyway. Height is in your DNA. HGH is used to treat HGH deficiency; using it for this kind of thing can cause the following:

Acromegaly, a condition where the facial bones and connective tissues grow, leading to a protruding jaw and brow; Enlarged hands and feet; Hair growth all over your body; Irreversible heart enlargement, leading to a substantially shortened life expectancy; Liver damage; Thyroid damage.
