Counting sheep?
There’s one more “remedy,” but I don’t know if you are over 18, so I’ll not say anything…

Try to drink some warm milk….. I know it sounds really gross… It works though.. If you cannot handle the milk warm then try some hot chocolate or a warm drink that does not have any caffeine in it….. Hope this helps… Good Luck!!!!

Exercise early in the morning, eat healthy meals, get in bed at the same time everynight to force your circadian rythm to be use to “bedtime”.
A good book and low light help me also.

If that doesn’t work it maybe a medical issue. Or possibly a spirtitual one. I once heard an older man speak on not being able to sleep, then believing it was God saying he wasn’t spending enough time in the Bible.

L-tryptophan. This is whats in turkey that makes you sleepy. It is an amino acid that your body uses to make serotonin. Thats what helps you sleep.

First you need to write down everything that is bothering you, go lay down in a DARK bedroom and take 10 deep breaths to relax. It works!

Well first of all you don’t need sleeping pills trust me all you need is a jar and sweet unions first you wash the jar and then dry it then you cut the sweet onion up in little peaces and put it in the jar then seal it really tight then when you cant sleep you go for the jar open it then you breath in the sweet onion and go to sleep it should take about 5 minutes if not let me now ok

falling asleep is a tricky topic and it can be different for everyone. Most people try the warm beverages like you said. Tea often is a wonderful helper. There is a tea called “sleepy time tea,” that obviously is meant to help you fall asleep. There are plenty of other trick that people recommend too. Here is a website that has some helpful hints:

like i said falling asleep is different for everyone and for some its harder than others. I personally find that if i have a clear mind, warm bed, comfortable pillow, and no distractions (TV, music, outside noise) then i am successful to fall asleep.
A great tip that I have used for years is peaceful meditation, and a shower. The shower helps me calm down physically and the meditation helps me calm down mentally.
I hope some of this helped and you will soon be getting regular sleep. Good luck :)

I would ask for generic sleeping pills. They are really inexpensive now.

A box of generic benedryl is 2 bucks for 24 of them. Thats what sleeping pills are….anti-histamines. And they work pretty well.

Good Luck

Cold milk works well too. I drink it cold 1 hr before the time I actually want to fall asleep. Take hot baths, play slow, mellow music, read the bible ( something boring) to help you relax to fall asleep.
Avoid soda’s, caffeine and sugars!

Here are some sleeping tips:
Get your body into a routine so it knows it’s time to sleep

Light therapy- Have the lights dimmed 1 hour before you go to bed and when you wake up open the curtains and turn on the light

Do not watch T.V or go on your computer for 1 hour before you go to sleep as these stimulate you too much

Do not have any caffeine after 4pm (that includes soft drinks)

Try listening to talking books or relaxing music to get to sleep
Have a warm glass of milk before bed

Having a hot shower is really good for getting you relaxed.

Do as much physical activity as you can during the day so you can get exhausted

Clenching your muscles as you breath in (to the count of 3) and relaxing them as you breath out lets a chemical out of your muscles and can assist you to sleep. It’s best done lying flat on your bed.

Try and calm down, a lot of insomnia comes from anxiety, if you are worried about something, write it down so you can think about it the next day.

I hope it all works out for you

Make sure your bedroom is tidy and pleasant to be in.
Don’t have a tv or radio in your room.
Don’t look at tv for at least half an hour before you go to bed.
Don’t drink tea or coffee for at least 4 hours before you go to bed and give it up altogether if you can.
You should keep your bedroom for sleeping only, if possible. In this way, you begin to associate this particular room with sleep.
