Question by maggie_moe1: Weight loss?
I eat around about 700/750/800 calories per day and have been useing my treadmill for 2 hours when i get the chance, i hired out a treadmill i got it on the 5th this month and i have done 14hours and 40 minutes is this good?

I’m sick of been fat, im 140 pounds, i want that perfect body, i just wondering if im doing enough on the treadmill or do i need to cut my calories down even more? I see a little weight loss already.. on my bum and my belly and my face, not sure about my legs tho..
I’m 19 years old 5ft3 and 140 pounds. I used to be 154 pounds when i was 16 17 and thought i need to do something about my body weight as its botherd me. People call me fat. I have a big bum and big tights my waist is small i’d say. I want to be around 120 pounds. I also am trying a special k diet, I eat special k cereal for breakfest lunch and a normal dinner. And only get hungry at night mostly

Best answer:

Answer by Dannie77
sounds like you are eating far too few calories for your body size as well as your activity level. You didn’t mention your height but your weight sounds pretty average. By eating too few calories you can actually cause your body to go into preservation mode and burn Fewer calories than if you are getting a higher number of calories – plus it can cause you to burn your muscle rather than actually burn your fat which will leave you worse off in the long run by lowering your metabolism even further. Probably no less than 1200 calories/day is a good guideline.

Honestly, from your description, I would worry about your behavior verging on anorexia. There are lots of websites out there that offer a lot of really great healthy weightloss information. Just do a search and you’ll find a ton of tips.

Best answer:

Answer by Richard W
Haven’t thought about buying it too much but unless you want to kill someone you shouldn’t be messing with purified ephedra. The plant contains both fiber and other chemicals besides ephedrine to balance its effects; this stuff especially combined with caffeine is quite bad for the heart and is the cause of a few deaths. Googling (or Yahoo Search) will get you a whole slew of manufacturers of the pure white powder for about $ 200-$ 600 a pound; whether you need any special training/certification to purchase is something I do now know.

hey, i was wondering if there were any tips for
Weight loss? i need help plz!

Best answer:

Answer by yamking7
Here are some good ideas:
1. Do something that gets your heart rate up a bit like, walking, running, biking, and swimming.
2. Eat Whole, Organic foods like: Broccoli, Cabbage, Organic Brown Rice, Spinach, Sweet Potato, Apples, and other fruits and vegetables in their Natural State.
3. Avoid eating corn, white bread, white rice, candy, sodas, chips, and anything else that you already know you shouldn’t be eating.
4. Drink clean water as your beverage of choice. Avoid Fruit drinks and fruit juices (unless YOU juice them yourself)
5. Stop smoking, drinking beer & wine, and drinking coffee.
6. Get 8 hours of sleep each night.
7. Hang out with people who want to be healthy.
8. Avoid anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup.

Tone up the muscles:

1. Join a gym and get a trainer.
2. If you’re short on cash, start a light stretching & yoga regimen.
3. Do push-ups, and light dumbbell curls for the upper body.
4. As I said above, walk, run, swim, and or bike
.
5. Take an aerobics class, a yoga class, or some other fitness class.
6. Join the local YMCA..

Mental Health:

1. Get a friend to talk to each day about your feelings.
2. If you have some money or insurance, get a counselor to talk to.
3. Learn how to meditate.
4. Join a support group for the issue you’re dealing with.
5. Ask your Higher Self (or God) for guidance.
6. Start keeping a diary or journal about your feelings & thoughts.
7. Write a ‘gratitude’ list every night.
8. Do something that makes you happy each day like: listen to your favorite music, draw, paint, write, or anything creative.
9. Do something for someone else who needs help.

Question by Julie: Why are magazines so contradictory about diets and food?
Why do magazines dedicate so much space to diets and quick fixes and diet products, yet on the next page it’s all “Love your shape the way you are! Be confident!”, Chocolate cake recipes, advertisements for unhealthy food?

Best answer:

Answer by D
Oh, it’s hilarious, isn’t it! “LOVE YOURSELF – HATE YOURSELF!”

You should take care of yourself BECAUSE you love yourself. You shouldn’t do things to change things about yourself you don’t like. WRONG motivation there!

When you love yourself, you won’t WANT to clog your arteries – you will want to be healthy… but if you hate your body, you will punish it and hurt yourself trying to be someone you’re not. If someone wants to lose weight, they should love and accept themselves the way they are before embarking on such a journey. Otherwise they will do it with the wrong motivation and it will never work out in the end.

Question by Amish Rebel: Weight Loss?
I’ve been trying to lose weight for some time now. I only need to lose about 30 pounds. Recently, I noticed that I have been losing weight, even though I haven’t really been on much of a diet. I went to the doctor, who told me I have a Tape Worm inside me, and this is causing my weight loss. Here’s my delimma: Should I remove the Tape Worm, or rejoice at my new-found diet plan? I mean, hey! I get to eat whatever I want and I’m still losing weight. Maybe I should wait until I get to my desired weight and then have it removed? What do you think?
While I appreciate the various weight loss suggestions I have gotten, they do not pertain to the question I put forth. Should I let the tape worm stay inside me to help me lose weight?

Best answer:

Answer by gobanana516
If you waited to remove it till you lost the weight, what do you think would happen then? You wouldn’t have learned anything about proper nutrition, and your eating and exercise habits wouldn’t have changed. So you would gain the weight right back.

So if you decide to do that, enjoy your temporary weight loss while it lasts!

(and no nasty comments u lil rascals lol)
lol i spelt ”move” wrong lol srry im sooo sleepy

Best answer:

Answer by Kitkat56
Well for a start you are 14 and still growing most likely so you shouldnt do anything drastix like loosing weight or anything, because you sound like you are the right weight for your height. Never any reason not to want to be healthy though. Secondly, you cant loose weight from just a select few area, it has to be from everywhere. Just excerize and eat healthy and you’ll be sweet.

Question by Reserved: Anyone know if it is more harmful to take anti-anxiety meds or sleep aids than to deal with stress naturally?
If you have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, and also have great difficulty sleeping … do you think the meds cause more damage to your body, or do you think by not taking the meds to reduce anxiety and help your body sleep, that the stress would cause more harm to the body in the long run?

Does it make more sense to get a good night’s sleep and feel healthy, rather than irritable and unable to concentrate?

Aside from the dangers of addiction to meds of course, what do you think is more healthy? With or without meds?

Best answer:

Answer by sillysumpin
I would like to know the answer too. I have always said anti-depressants are over prescribed. Now I am wondering if I should reconsider taking them. I have had difficulty sleeping for 2 years now and the problems just seem to be getting worse.

Best answer:

Answer by Denise M
If a doctor can vouch for your steroid need, then no, it won’t be sold to the press as illegal use.

Besides, the “Cortisone” shots are a different type of “Steroid”. Anabolic steroids will bulk you up and enhance your performance, Hyalonic Steroids will not
