Question by : Does Ephedrine HCL show up on a drug test?
I went to walgreens and bought some bronchial relief medicine. It contains 12.5 mg of Ephedrine HCL. Will I test positive for amphetamines if i take this? Please list a reference if you have any evidence to support something I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere.

Depends upon when you will be drug screened. And what method…urine, blood, hair. 12.5mg isn’t that much and processes through urine at a fairly quick rate. It’s not like taking an asthma bronchial prescription which generally are time released. Always empty your bladder several times prior to urine screenings. Upon waking up, a person’s bladder contents contain the most evidence of what your kidneys have processed so the later the time of day you give a sample, always the better.
