if i want to loose a bit of the excess weight/fat around my belly/sides.. what food should i cut back on? what food should i eat more of?

Last summer I lost 20 pounds in only 2 months. I lost some more along the way and by December 07 I went from 223 to 190. Now I didn’t do the latest fad diet or anything like that… just good old fashioned exercise and I really did watch what I was eating. Since I have extended summer vacations, I was able to plan my meals and exercise but it carried over when I began working again.
1.) Exercise daily: for me daily 30 minute jog / combination jogging, walking, running but 30 minutes.
2.) Lifted light to medium weight every other day…many reps just to tone my body a little. About 30 minutes as well.
3.) Eat right: I ate many, many fresh/frozen fruits, in between meals. Baked Fish (Talapia or catfish nuggets – least expensive), veggies, chicken (varied recipes). Limit fast food or pick the healthier items (no mayo, salad dressings, etc.)
4.) Get a partner: having a partner keeps you motivated for those days when you get lazy.
A week or two of this and hopefully it will become part of your life routine. It is not about being a health freak or anything.. for me it was about taking care of my body once and for all. Good luck.
