Question by Videogame Addict: Can someone tell me how can I sleep through the whole night? (I’m too young for sleeping pills)?
My alarm clock is in the other side of the room so I dont turn it off and go back to sleep, but almost all the time I am waking up in the middle of the night and turning it off and going back to sleep and end up missing school. And I am too young to use sleeping pills. So overall, can someone tell me how can I sleep through the whole night?

Just relax and think of pleasant thoughts. Most of the time when we are awake at night, something is bothering us and in order to go to sleep at night, try to stop thinking about that event that is bothering you. If that don’t work, talk to your parents so they can refer you to a specialist.

Valerian Root….it is a natural sleeping pill
stop getting up and turning off the alarm…duh
roll over and go to sleep and quit blaming you’re so tired instead you, yourself are turning off the clock alarm on purpose….get more exercise and eat right and you should sleep a full 8….
Do something physical instead of sitting and drooling all night with a joystick in your hands. Lay off the caffine and you will sleep like a baby.
why would you turn off your alarm in the middle of the night? Do you mean in the morning when it goes off? Since you’re too young for pills, can I assume that you drink a lot of caffeine? Lay off the pop (yes, I know most call it soda). Don’t drink it at night or even at dinner, especially if you eat late. Other things might be stress. Do you stress out a lot at night? Think about everything that you need to go before you go to sleep? School? Friends? Anxiety? Depression? Getting to the root of your insomnia will help a lot faster than just taking valerian root. However, getting some lavender oil does help as well. You can usually get a bottle for a couple dollars at any health food store. You can either inhale from the bottle, which I don’t really recommend, or putting a few drops on a cotton ball. Sleep with that near you or sniff it when you need to calm down.
Whether you are too young or not, sleeping pills are never a good choice to make one sleep.
With 5-6 drops of chamomile or neroli essential oil into your bath water. Have a warm bath and you can try drinking chamomile tea 30mins before your bedtime. Make sure your bed, pillows and blankets are clean & comfy. Coz unless you are comfortable then you can sleep throughout. Well, thats what you want. As you lay on your bed, have good pleasant thoughts. say it loud or think it in your brain/mind, your wish. That you want to sleep throughout the night till you wake up for school. This may not work on your first night, You’ve got to train your mind and soon you’ll sleep like a baby. Another thing to take note is that, try not to take any long naps in the day. When you sleep in the day, you won’t be able to sleep @ night. And try to make your sure your bedtime, is the same everyday. Your mind will be happy when things go well in order rather than in jig jag way. And don’t drink too much of coffee. Chamomile is a great bedtime drink. It’s caffeine free. Best if you the fresh ones if you can. It has sleep inducing properties assuring you to have a great night sleep.
