Question by ArmyWife&MommyToAiden: Are there any diet pills that are safe to take while breastfeeding?
My son is 8 months old today! My husband is going to boot camp in September and I wanted to lose some weight while he is gone. I have hypothyroidism so it’s difficult for me to lose weight, but I was wondering if there are any diet pills that could possibly help me along with diet and excersise that are safe to take while breastfeeding? I think most of them aren’t so I didn’t know if there were any. Anyone know?

Just by breastfeeding you can burn 600 calories! Do not take diet pills, your baby eats everything you do.

What do you think? Answer below!

Mona Vie but it’s very expensive and not sold as ‘weight loss’ even though it does help alot. It’s just full of vitamins and antioxidants and such. It would probably even be good for your baby.

otherwise nothing is safe becasue whatever goes into your body gets passed to your baby :[

No way!

I lost the weight after I stopped breast feeding. I maintained a decent weight while I was breast feeding simply because I was eating to feed two people, however I only gained 30 pounds during pregnancy…..loosing weight didn’t even occur to me. I was on a mission for my daughter to GAIN weight.

Do some research on how effective breast feeding actually is after the first year of your babies life. I think you will find yourself loosing weight as quickly and easily as you want within the next couple of months!!

Most diet supplements work by way of dehydration.

Dehydrated mommy = wonky milk supply.

Just eat well and exercise. If you hate activity just eat very well. Replace all your junk food snacks with veggies and fruit and drink a lot of water. Eating nicely balanced meals and snacks is enough to boost your already nursing metabolism and you’ll lose that much more weight.
As far as exercise, you can pretty much do whatever you want. As long as you’re staying hydrated and eating enough hard core cardio isn’t going to mess with your supply much. I’ve found that swimming is a good one.
