proactive didn’t work all that well for me.
i have had better luck with clearisil and neutrogena products.
but everyone’s different, so ya never know.
maybe you should try some of the drug store stuff before you look into the more expensive treatments.
good luck

Pro-activ works well for some people, but then it doesn’t work for others.

I would say your best bet is to go to the dermatologist. I hesitated to go because I didn’t think my acne was that bad. But they can treat even moderate acne. If it bothers you, it’s worth going to the doctor.

I had to go through several combinations of drugs before I found something that worked.

You could try Neutrogena oil free acne wash and a Clean & Clear astringent. That’s pretty cheap, and it might work.

What you should use really depends on your skin type and the kind of acne you have. You should decide based on whether you have dry, oily, or combination skin. The type of acne you have and where it is also matters a great deal. We probably need more information to give you a really helpful answer. But I’d say your best bet is to go to the doctor.

i used pro active and it made my face worse.
i had to go to the dermatologist so he could clear
up what pro active did. so i went to walmart and got this
clean and clear face wash and lotion and i have the best skin around. it leaves my face really smooth and clear.

Pro active worked for me. I don’t have bad acne but I do break out sometimes and pro active starts to clear it up overnight. But for some people it does not work at all.

Remember, nothing cures acne. I had bad acne, to where I would call in sick, not show up to class, or stay in from hanging out with my friends if I had a huge pimple on my face. I mean HUGE!
I use proactive and it has improved my skin for the better. You just have to try it and give it a good chance by using it as recommended. It might dry your face out for awhile, but if you keep using it, it will get better.
Oh..another thing is that since my skin has improved I scheduled my shipping to every 25 weeks, because I don’t have to use it all the time now and when I use something else my skin isn’t so sensitive to breakout overnight like it did before. I have been using it for over 5 yrs. now.
I still break out every now and then due to being a girl hint hint, and from stress. But other than that, my skin is nothing like it used to be and I don’t have to cake on makeup anymore. Now, I can focus on improving my skin in other ways.
Give it a try and if it doesn’t help after you finish the kit, then try Murad or something. IDK, I didn’t have to look for other products after proactive.

If you go to the doctors they will prescribe you with medication for your acne.

It works better than clearasil and stuff. Instead of trying to clear your pimples from the outside you take one pill daily and the medication balances out how much oil your body produces thus reducing your acne.

My cousin was prescribed some from her doctor. It really works well, check it out. And yes! This works better than clearasil and to that chick above me – this basically is a cure for acne. You have to start from the inside if you want to get rid of it, you want to control your acne. Putting lotions on your face ain’t gonna do anything. (You get what I mean?)
