Simple task of washing your face with a little bit of soap and warm water multiple times a day. DON’T let your skin stay oily, espicially in the heat. Do this for a few weeks and you’ll see serious results. try to wipe your face with a napkin if you’re out and you feel that it’s oily.

Drink a lot of water, avoid “trigger foods” if you can figure them out (milk makes me break out, for example), exercise as much as you can and avoid stress. Visit http://www.acne.org for other good tips. They have a very active message board that contains TONS of good advice.

AH acne..the affliction and source of angst for most adolescents and some unfortunante adults…im suffering from it right now…its hideous..im 17 and I hate it…well here goes ive done alot of research on it, i keep myself very clean and eat healthy i have found that it is made worse by eating chocolates and overly oily foods – i wash my face three times a day but not too much or it will simply dry out the skin plus acne comes from within as it as due to the over production of oil in the oil glands and then the pores become clogged with loadz of bacteria and come up as ugly zits – i have finally decided recently and hopefully not too late after my life was turned upsdie down by my acne to go to the doctor – basically they start you on benzoyl peroxide an ointment and work up from there depending on how it responds to treatment – and sadly it varies from person to person – nothing works for me and i am currently on antibiotics and have been referred to a dermatologist who will hopefully give me something powerful called Accutane that is said to work for most cases – in other words i am saying buy over the counter acne products such as benzoyl peroxide and waste no more time –

go to ur doctor and get started on treatments – a doctor will always give you an acne treatment and the sooner you start the sooner it is over – hopefully there is hope for me – most people i talk to say that there long lasting acne dissapeared at the age of 21, i assume you are young and it will go down a great deal after your hormones settle down, as bad as mine is, it is somewhat better than ti was during puberty when i was 12 and 13 -

go to a doctor, keep your face clean, change your pillow covers regularly as the dirt can cause acne on your face and please resist the temptation to pick and squeeze at acne because like mine IT WILL SCAR – and it aint pretty – the only real way to get rid of your acne is to see a doctor – keep your skin healthy with good nutrition such as vegetables and fruit juices – limit your sugar intake such as chocolates and soft drinks because they raise insulin and other hormone levels which disrupt the balance causing breakouts – and go to your doctor, plus wait it out – good luck!

Drink alot of water about 8 glasses or more a day to keep your skin dehydrated and to flush impurities from your system. Heat can make it worse but for some people a little sunlight exposure tends to help as the sun is a natural disinfectant – but acne is from within and so you need to tackle the root of the problem on the ‘inside’ which is why rigourously washing your face only makes things worse and irritates your skin because the oil comes from deep in your skin and the bacteria in your pores are so small soap doesnt kill them – something like clearasil should help keep your pores clean.

summary: eat right, sleep right, keep clean and see a doctor.

Eat the right foods.. Foods with lots of fats and preservatives can cause breakouts…
Everyday, put aside some time to relax… Stress also causes breakouts…
After you wash your face(2 a day is recommended) rub a snail on it.. Someting in snails helps out with acnea, and helps out with getting rid wrinkles as well.
If all else fails, spend $ 30-50 on Proactive. It works really well! I used it and go a clear face!

Here are some REALLY good, and very inexpensive ways to treat most acne at home. Try each method (unless you’re allergic to the ingredients) until you find one that works best for you. Good luck =)

1. Put toothpaste on your acne before going to bed. (Make sure it is paste not gel). It should reduce the swelling of acne noticeably.

2. Dab egg whites on your acne and leave on for 20 minutes or overnight. It’s supposed to pull the infection out of the blemish.

3. Wash acne infected areas twice a day with warm salt water. This reduces oils in the skin and helps to dry the acne up without further agitation.

4. Use ice on acne before going to bed. This works best on pimples that have not yet formed a head. It reduces swelling and helps to prevent scarring.

5. Wash and dab acne with cotton balls that have been soaked in vinegar. Let dry; do not wash off immediately.

6. Place strawberries leaves over your acne and the alkalinity will help to reduce the swelling.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Acne Treatment
Dr. Edward F. Group III, DC, Ph.D, ND, DACBN
Acne is an annoying skin condition that affects people of every age, gender, and race. The scientific name for the condition is acne vulgaris because acne usually strikes in plainly visible locations such as the face, neck, chest and back. Acne is an age old problem that has likely been plaguing people for centuries. But there are numerous treatment methods available for this bothersome condition. Read on to learn more about acne, and what you can do to treat it.

Who Gets Acne?
Acne usually begins around the time of puberty. More than eighty percent of teenagers and preteens will develop acne to some extent. It affects both males and females, but boys are more likely to have severe acne and to have acne that continues into adulthood.

What Causes Acne?
Acne can be caused by a number of factors. Contact with an oily substance such as mineral oil, vegetable oil, or petroleum is a common cause of acne, as is the use of certain medication, steroids, on the contraceptive pill. However, acne is most often cause by the secretion of androgens. Androgens are sex hormones that are initially secreted at the onset of puberty. Acne is also caused by ingesting a lot of red meat, milk, sugar and white flour. They are male hormones but they are secreted by females as well. Androgens stimulate the production of oil from the skin’s oil glands. Acne occurs when these oil glands become overactive and the exit from the gland is blocked, causing the oil to build up in the gland and swell. A bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes normally colonizes this swollen gland causing the development of inflammation and pus. In particularly severe cases, the glands may burst into the skin and produce cysts.

How Should I Treat My Acne?
Over ninety percent of acne patients respond to treatment, although the treatment may need to be continued for months or even years. Here are a few common treatment methods that can be used for acne.

Cleaning the intestinal Tract: Acne can be a by-product of a filthy intestinal tract and colon. In most cases when the colon is clean the acne will go away. I recommend the intestinal cleanser Oxy-Powder.

Other remedies include the skin rejuvenation program including 3 products: Oxy-Skin, Oxy-Zap and a strong Aloe Vera concentrate available at http://www.acne-answers.org.

Remedies: Herbs such as chamomile, lavender, juniper, bergamot, dandelion root, and burdock root can be used to reduce toxicity and improve the overall condition of the skin. Echinacea and poke root are often used for their anti-inflammatory properties and red clover may be beneficial for its estrogenic action.

Complementary Treatment

Acupuncture: Stagnant of Chi in the channels of the face is said to be the cause of acne. Acupuncture performed on these points of the face may help relieve acne.

Homeopathy: For patients with pustules and blind boils, especially on the face, neck, and back, may be helped by Kali brom. Selenium is often used for acne sufferers with oily skin, blackheads, and pustules. And hepar sulph. Is typically used for patients who suffer from pustules that are painful and filled with yellow pus.

Conventional Treatment
Medication: Conventional acne medications may be topical- applied directly to the skin-, or they may be systemic- taken internally.
