theres nothing that you can take really. best thing to do is get a nice warm bath with lots of bubbles before you go to bed and have a hot drink and try to relax. if your in pain and that’s keeping you up then theres only really paracetamol that you can take.
good luck

benadryl is safe. It is an allergy medicine with a drowsiness side effect. It is the PM in Tylenol PM.
Benadryl is one of the few “pregnancy approved” drugs. It is just as approved as tylenol, tums, and robitussin DM. It is recommended for both allergies and as a sleep aid.
I have sleeping problems I take a pill a night (approved by my doc) there are 3 meds on my list that my doc said is safe during pregnancy.
- Tylenol Sleeping Tabs
- Unisom (which can also be taking for morning sickness)
- Benadryl
I take unisome myself and it works great.
My OB also approved all of the following drugs to take because I couldn’t sleep:
- Tylenol PM
- Unisom (which is the same thing as Tylenold PM, exact same active ingredients)
- Benadryl (gives the sleepy feeling without the tylenol like Tylenol PM or Unisom has in it)
Ironically, I stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks when I was 26 weeks along because of preterm labor. I had a very hard time sleeping due to multiple factors, uncomfortable bed, uncomfortable body because I was always laying down, noisy hospital and side effects from my preterm labor meds. The first night I mentioned this to the nurse, she said that the OB had approved Ambien for me if I wanted it. I ended up taking it every night from then on just so I could sleep in there.
I’m back home and on bedrest now but don’t tend to have as many sleeping issues (nevermind the fact that I can basically sleep whenever I want to because my butt isn’t going any where)….
Try taking a warm bath and drinking either chamomile or sleepy time tea. Its better than taking meds.
